Winds of Change

Hi to all of you in this Faith and Fitness Community! How was Christmas and the start of this New Year so far?  This last month has been incredibly beautiful and I sincerely hope this is finding you having had some sunshine, rest and rejuvenation for the fall and another season ahead.  I know it has been good for me as I felt so "off" just before a much needed vacation time!  As I write this I'll ask for a prayer for my first road race coming up this weekend! As a kid I don't know about you but I always got a little bit of a sense of dread at all of the Back-to-school commercials  on TV and all the signs that popped up everywhere in the stores that just said "change" was about to happen. The very thought of it can just simply elicit  some anxious feelings.  Can anyone relate? I am incredibly thankful everyday for the journey I have been on for the past couple of years, the closeness and growth it has brought me with the Lord and with many o...

Hi Community! --- HELLO on this snowy morning or whenever you open this!! Yes, you are a part of this community.  It has been proven that we thrive better in community than just doing things solo.   Some News and Links Below of Upcoming Opportunities . Community has been the call that I heard when I first took my Revelation Wellness training and it is scriptural and I believe why God tells us to not forsake coming together.  It is edifying, it helps us learn and grow and be encouraged.  We are not islands to ourselves in this life that is for sure nor are we meant to be.  This is the season of Advent.  I have been following an advent devotional series by Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer.  Travelling through the contemplation of first Hope, Peace, now Joy as we are in this season of waiting leading up to Christmas and beyond as we prepare for the remembrance and celebration of the crucifixion and personally partnered with God toward...

Can I Really Train Focus?

Image
Hi I am AnnaMarie, a wife, mom and grandma, long time follower of Christ and lover of movement and going deeper in conversation and connection with myself and others. This space is to explore a little of that piece by piece and my hope is that as I show up you do too!  When I started on this road a number of years ago I had one idea and God really had another.  He met me at at time in my life when I needed a shake up and a change but before He did that He connected me with me and HIM.  This was an organic process through movement interconnected with His WORD and the encouragement of those that had been travelling on this path a while already that called me up and created the space to allow me to explore and get curious; two things I never would have known how to do or allowed myself to do.  I am an on-a-mission kind of gal and the Lord knew I needed to train some flexibility but the barriers of guilt and regret played a big role. The enemy is an accuser and I a...

Why do we want to live as embodied people?

Image
Hi all! I am desiring to show up here to broaden this email base.  Are you looking for fitness and wellness in a way that does not just check a box but instead has the power to break chains, heal hurts, strengthen mind, body and soul and put a huge smile on your face.  If you are then check back here often.   This quick blog spot is a note I had sent to our in-person class.  I like to do that throughout our sessions to stay in touch.  Getting our blog spot going with some of our content from there. Below is the workout link I said I would send! Earlier in our in-person class we talked about embodiment and the things that are "saving our lives" right now. Embodiment is a deep "knowing" cultivated inside and all our actions then flow out from there.  I heard an amazing podcast this summer by Emily P. Freeman.  Sometimes just what we need comes our way when we need it.  At the time I was in need of this simple message. It went something l...

CORE TIPs for WHOLE Living: We can agree there is a lot of noise in the world, and I do not think it is going to change any time soon.   Do we need easier? and if so, what does it mean for our daily lives?   My opinion?   Easy is not just trying to uncomplicate things, shrink back and take a low road.   Easy is seeking wisdom to plan and to put systems in place that help you run more efficiently when it gets hard, and you feel like a failure that day because you hit the drive thru instead of the “healthy” meal, managed your finances poorly, yelled at a family member or were grouchy at work or just basically did not show up as your best in general even to yourself!   We all do it to some degree at different times on certain days.   What are these systems I am speaking of?   1.        Word and prayer time –     Just do it!   10 minutes or whatever you can do consistently.   Favorite devotional,...
