Why do we want to live as embodied people?

 Hi all!

I am desiring to show up here to broaden this email base.  Are you looking for fitness and wellness in a way that does not just check a box but instead has the power to break chains, heal hurts, strengthen mind, body and soul and put a huge smile on your face.  If you are then check back here often.

This quick blog spot is a note I had sent to our in-person class.  I like to do that throughout our sessions to stay in touch.  Getting our blog spot going with some of our content from there.

Below is the workout link I said I would send!

Earlier in our in-person class we talked about embodiment and the things that are "saving our lives" right now.

Embodiment is a deep "knowing" cultivated inside and all our actions then flow out from there.  I heard an amazing podcast this summer by Emily P. Freeman.  Sometimes just what we need comes our way when we need it.  At the time I was in need of this simple message. It went something like this, paraphrased with my interpretation.
We are always in need of presence; a gentle word, a supportive hand, a listening ear, a belly laugh or a solid embrace.
All of these are embodied expressions and a daily step toward HOPE!  These are literally things that "save our lives!" So might cinnamon in my coffee or a good pizza on a Friday night be as well!  What little or big thing is currently bringing you joy?

What do you slow or let go of to embrace moments? Jesus simply asks us to receive the gift he offers. Are we listening?
QUOTE: "If God is speaking, nothing else matters but listening." - Brennan Manning.

Luke 11: 9-10 - "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you."

The world talks a lot about "self-care" but as believers I would  rather call what we need to be- "soul care".  Through worship and gratefulness we begin to embody God's love for us.  In our going is our healing (Alisa Keeton), and we are strengthened by the Spirit alive within us.  As this happens it is then God's love for us that we begin to "know" in our very being with that empowerment propelling us forward gaining momentum with a HOPE that is like nothing else this world can offer.

We walk this out in our daily lives through our habits, relationships and responsibilities.  These can be the less exciting aspects of our lives to the critical, exiting or challenging but never are they based on our perfection.  There is only one that is good.

We trust and keep showing up!
We grow from the foundations both functionally and spiritually and when we get off on the wrong track we come back again to the basics and go again encouraged knowing that even if it feels like we fail or the way is hard that we have increase our baseline every time and we keep going on our race to run with our eye on the only prize that matters.
A foundation in scripture: "For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son that we would not perish but have everlasting life."  John 3:16.  We are never too good for the basics.  Let's receive Him today and everyday.  All true life springs from here.
Foundational movements: Bend and lift, push, pull, and rotate.  All of our function and therefore life physically springs from here.

Below is a strength workout you are welcome to try. Remember -  150 minutes/week is a base fitness goal to strive for.  Showing up regularly for ourselves increases our ability for stability and function.

Keep Seeking and Keep Moving....

Take care...
